It all started when the founder of Octo Innovative Solutions had a vision to create a grinder that would make grinding easy and comfortable for everyone, even those with arthritis or carpel tunnel syndrome. The Vulcan founder had a burning desire to craft a product that was innovative, aesthetically pleasing, and functionally superior to anything on the market. It was an ambitious concept that was easier said than done.
He shared his idea with a young architect student, who literally drew those ideas on a piece of paper. Then a young design engineer was brought on board to bring those ideas to life. They spent countless hours in meetings, tweaking the design with software like Solid Works and AutoCad until they found the perfect direction for their patent pending design grinder. But, even with their best efforts, it took 18 long months and four molds to get the final and first Vulcan that matched the founder’s vision.
